Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Leonico Ltd looks after any personal information we collect when you use hightae.co.uk. We’re registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZB331793.

Leonico Ltd is the data controller. Our registered office is Suite 4.6 Turnberry House, 175 West George Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 2LB. Company number SC255241.

What information we collect

We only collect what we actually need. If you fill in a contact form we’ll ask for your name, email address and message. When you submit old photos for the gallery or event details we may collect your name and contact details so we can credit you or get in touch. We also receive public planning-application data straight from the local council – that’s already in the public domain and we just make it easier for villagers to see.

We don’t sell your data to anyone. Ever.

How we use your information

We use it to reply to your messages, publish your photos (with credit if you want), run the site smoothly, and – only if you’ve opted in – send village news, newsletters or WhatsApp group invites. We also look at anonymous site-usage data to improve things.

Legal basis

Most of the time we rely on your consent (you can withdraw it anytime). For some site-improvement uses we rely on legitimate interests – basically making sure the village website actually works and stays useful.

Third parties and cookies

We use Google Analytics, Google Maps, Facebook/Instagram feeds, YouTube embeds and reCAPTCHA. These services may set cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy. We’ll always give you a clear cookie banner with proper opt-in choices.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how we’re using it. Just email us at the address in the footer. We’ll reply within one month.

We keep your information only as long as we need it, then we delete it.
